Notice Board

Please contact the clerk if you have any items you feel should be displayed on the noticeboard

Planning (Sept 17) - please be aware of the application for Creswell Grove Field (Strawsons) and 2700 houses along Beaconside including schools and local amenities. All of these are within Creswell Parish and each resident is entitled to respond to applications along with the Parish Council. We are only one consultee and we always advise residents to add their voices to these local plans and make it clear how the Parish feels about these.

Speedwatch
Can you volunteer a few hours a month? The Creswell Speedwatch Group really need members who can give a small amount of their time (as little as an hour a month) to help take speed information which results in letters being sent to all cars passing through Creswell Grove during the measured hour and persistent offenders have their action escalated (this can result in a home visit from a police officer).
Michelle from Speedwatch will attend our annual meeting in April to talk about the benefits of Speedwatch. Our group has always been very active, but sadly ill health has prevented them from being active during the last 12 months. Please contact the Clerk who will happily pass your details onto Paul (our local co-ordinator)

2017 Amenity Visits

The refuse freighter will be parked in WILKES WOOD as below:

 7th October

From 10am-12pm

Due to Stafford Borough Council removing the third free visit – the Parish Council have resolved for 2 visits only in 2017

 Culina Lorries in Creswell Grove
Culina lorries should not be using Creswell Grove to travel through. Culina have asked if any residents see lorries from Culina to report them to the Clerk (preferably via email) with a note of date, rough time and a registration number if possible. These will then be passed for Culina to take action. Please DO NOT report direct to Culina as we are collating the information for them to use.

**Important - Parking Creswell Grove Verges**
Please note the issue of parking on verges in Creswell Grove has been raised again by residents. Please note that this is County Council land and residents and visitors are NOT permitted to park on these. We have been advised that action will be taken against persistant offenders. Due to the volume and size of traffic travelling down Creswell Grove it is important that views for residents are not blocked.
